When leaks occur they often generate an ultrasonic frequency that is beyond human hearing. Amprobe’s TMULD-300 converts these sounds into an audible range for easy detection. The TMULD-300 tests pressurized air lines, refrigeration systems, and steam lines for leaks. Quickly and easily locate a leak location with this unique device.HOW IT WORKS: The TMULD-300 microphone senses high frequency sound waves from 35 kHz to 45 kHz. The human ear can hear sounds from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. Many small leaks generate ultrasounds that are outside of the human ear’s frequency range. The TMULD-300 re-modulates the ultrasounds to a lower frequency that can be heard by the human ear via headphones included in the kit. The device also displays ultrasound level using the ten LED light indicator. A VARIETY OF APPLICATIONS: The Amprobe TMULD-300 ultrasonic leak detector has a variety of applications. It is the go to tool for sensing pressurized leaking gas, detecting electrical arcing around switches and electrical panels, and finding failing solenoids, valves, and bearings in electrical automotive, heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) maintenance applications. INCLUDED ULTRASONIC TRANSMITTER: The TMULD-300 includes an ultrasonic transmitter that is great to use in areas where leaking gases are not sufficiently pressurized.
