They have a durable but somewhat comfortable handle. You do not feel flex in them like cheaper tools do when you put a bit of pressure on them, I cut 12 gauge stranded wire with them and then went trough very easily without as much as a scratch on the cutters. The cutter part is about 1/8" from the edge so dont expect flush cuts, but they do make some that do flush cuts if you need them. I have not tried anything like steel wire, just copper so I can not say how they would hold up to steel, but so far, I am very impressed. If any complaints, it would be that they are made in china. they should move their production line back to the USA.
