I'm a commercial construction plumber/pipefitter. Those cheap torpodo levels w/plastic ends last about 2 months, this level lasted me 8+ years. Without a doubt worth the money.

The only real con I can think of is the magnet and the price of the level. However, the quality and craftsmanship of the level probably justifies the price. However, the magnet on the Stabila is located towards the right hand side of the level and not in the middle so it is difficult to see if something is level if it is something small like a 4x4 electrical junction box. The left side “hangs” off of the box while the right side is measuring your levelness. I wish there were several magnets spread out on the bottom of the level as opposed to one giant magnet (very strong mind you) biased to one side of the level.
