I am really impressed with the quality and function of this tube flaring kit. It makes beautiful flares, the build quality is excellent. My previous experience with tube flaring tools was with a kit purchased at an automotive parts store, and the quality of the Ridgid kit is far superior.

This is the 3rd double flare tool I've tried and I'm extremely pleased with the results. Solid construction and well built. I used it to double flare mild steel fuel line. Getting the base clamp with the steel tubing inserted fully into the flare tool and lined up with the cone was the challenge. The base almost needs to be pre-compressed around the tubing before everything lines up and the turn screw at the bottom can be locked into the base groove that corresponds to the tubing diameter. The tubing cutter and case that comes with it are nice additionsl. It's a little pricey, but quality tools usually are, and it will last the rest of my life. I wish I'd known about this flare tool before purchasing the other 2. In the long run, it would have saved me from payring for it twice.
