Was using another small portable wet/dry vacuum for general HVAC and maintenance. It worked OK, but I got tired of having to either lug around the original box or try to carry the vacuum, hose and a few attachments separately.
This Ridgid has everything stored nicely in a toolbox shape for easy hauling. It sucks up metal scraps and sheetrock debris with no problem and is much quieter than a typical "Shop-Vac". Overall very pleased with it.

I had watched several of my tradesmen use this vacuum and had to secure one. Great size, powerful enough for the heaviest of jobs. Easy to store.

This powerful vac is perfect for hvac or plumbing maintenance and repair jobs. Sit and work to save knees and back. Have used for over 7 years and still runs like a champ.

| Pros: | Compact, convenient |
| Cons: | Short hose, lousy brush-tool. |

This thing is a real treat. Its box-shape makes it much easier to pack in your truck or closet, the hose is very flexible unlike the stiff plastic hoses of many others, and best of all, the hose and various attachments stow inside the unit meaning you don't have to wonder if you left the brush tool at home.
Using the Ridgid vacuum bags, I've been able to suck up pounds of drywall-sanding dust with no problem.
Personally I don't miss having wheels on it. Because of it's size, it's easy enough to carry in the other hand.
For ease of use, I purchased a 12' Ridgid heavy-duty hose so when I need to reach high, I don't have to carry the unit up the ladder with me. The hose came with swivel adapters which make a big difference in ease of use.
Now I'm looking for a good brush tool, as the one that came with it is made of a cheap plastic bristle that sucks down inside the opening and eventually decides to stay bent that way, partially blocking it off.. There are good natural bristles out there but haven't found one yet.

Does a great job. Nice attachments. Love the "storeability". Just a bit pricey for a shop vac - but overall good product.
