| Pros: | Solid tool and performs well |
| Cons: | Wish it was rated for stainless |
| Recommended: | Yes |
I do a lot of OD .375", .028" wall stainless tubing with this tool. The tool isn't rated for stainless per-say, only mild steel. It still does a great job and holds up rather well. I recently bought another one as a back-up tool since after a couple years the tool will need repair. The only thing I wish is that Ridgid made this a little tougher for doing stainless and I'd be a happy camper. Overall great tool for the average guy without spending more on other tools of much greater cost.

| Pros: | Will double flare light steel |
| Cons: | Turn handle stem could be a little stronger |
| Recommended: | Yes |
After purchasing two other flaring tools claiming to double flare light steel, such as brake and fuel lines, I decided to try the Rigid. It actually worked well, creating quality flares. The stem on the handle did bend ( easy to straighten) when trying to fully compress the flair to the Rigid tool body to complete the flare. The steel tubing requires a great deal of turning pressure . If it weren't for this tool, I would have had to purchase a more expensive hydraulic flaring tool. I need a tool for tight quarters to make flares on the vehicle.
