My house is about 30 years old and has those old 1-piece wall valves with the attached corrugated lines to the faucet. The valves leak, the lines break and the newer 1/4-turn valves use a different thread pitch on the ferrule nut. This is the only tool I know of that cleanly and effectively pulls the ferrule off the copper wall pipe. Well made and worth the price.
