An excellent tool

Pros: Fast straight cuts in thicker steel, aluminum and wood
Cons: Blade changes are a little awkward
Recommended: Yes
Straight or miter cuts in mild steel channel or bar done very quickly with no smoke and without excessive sparks. It is much faster than an abrasive chop saw or band saw, without any blade 'wander'. The vise is easy to set for mitering and quick to clamp. The top handle makes the tool easy to transport.

* You need three hands for blade changes unless you secure the blade guard out of your way before you loosen the arbor bolt. I use a bungy cord.

* The angle gauge on the table is approximate and good enough for most uses. Make a cut and adjust it to make perfect miter cuts.

* Make a simple brace to support the free end of thinner angle stock to avoid workpiece bending and blade jamming.
