DeWalt Quality Shows
By John on 05/07/2014
Pros: Quiet, Quick Blade Changes
Cons: Little blade tightening knobs
Recommended: Yes
Like most of DeWalt tools, their scroll saw is high quality. It runs quiet and blade changes are quick. I do a lot of fret work so I change blades often. I bought the DeWalt scroll saw stand also. it is just right. I bought a lift arm to hold the arm up when changing blades. It works very well. I bought a magnetic magnifying light that is helpful seeing the lines. I made wood knobs to go over the plastic ones. The plastic ones make your fingers sore if you do frequent blade changes. If you make knob enlargers, be careful that they are not so large they hit the underside of the table on the up stroke.

Pros: Easy to change blades
Cons: None known at this time

We tested 6 different blades with 3 different woods and some birch plywood. All worked very well, even the 2 1/2 cheery wood.
