I bought this item b/c I have to re-caulk a very large amount of siding and trim on a residential rehab project. The gun is meant for adhesive, but works pretty well for the caulking if you have large runs or large gaps to fill. The gun is adjustable for flow and can operate at a slow pace or high volume and I have been happy with its ability to adapt to the type of application I'm working on. I would recommend this for large job where you dont want to wear out your hand, or if you are applying adhesive to larger surfaces. The downsides are the price (which seamed a little high) and the weight. It is not a light tool, but it is sturdy. If you have someone to follow you and smooth out the bead, its a great tool for caulking large areas quickly and probably saved my hand from falling off with a regular hand squeeze gun.
