The Jet 708411 JOVS-10 Floor Model Oscillating Spindle Sander, 1HP, 1Ph, 115V has a 1-1/2″ oscillating action feature to reduce the machines overall friction heat, which protects your wood and prolongs the sleeve life. It has a main spindle support which runs on precision ball bearings, while still oscillating with a heavy-duty worm and gear mechanism. Amazingly the worm and gear mechanism runs in an actual oil bath to prolong its life endurance and durability. An eclectic feature of the 708411 is an industrial push-button switch, which is conveniently located for finger-tip control, and the powerful 1HP motor is independently mounted inside the base giving you easier access and tool service.
Spindles
The Jet spindles have threaded ends for quick and easy changes for all of the included spindles, which range in size from; 1/4″, 3/8″, 1/2″, 5/8″, 3/4″, 1″, 1-1/2″, 2″, 3″ and 4″. To accommodate the spindles, there is a built-in storage rack, which keeps the spindles and table inserts handy for you.
